About the BellaOnline Irish Culture Editor
Bee Smith

Irish Culture
Bee Smith has been traveling to Ireland since 1980. Her toes have touched most of the 36 counties in that time. In 2001 she settled in West Cavan with her Armagh born partner. Bee is a local guide with the Marble Arch Caves Global Geopark and leads tours in Fermanagh, Leitrim, Sligo and West Cavan with her business Irish Blessings Tours (www.irishblessingstours.com)where she combines local lore, ancient myth and a lively interest in the local fairy folk on her guided day tours and walks.

Bee lives in isolated splendour in the first village on the River Shannon where she writes from a desk with a three county view. Her poetry, essays, and creative non-fiction have been published in magazines in the USA, England and Ireland as well as appearing online. She blogs elsewhere on country living, organic and sustainable living, the creative process, her own sojourns, women´s spirituality and the Divine Feminine. She is currently being entertained by a horde of characters who she is trying to wrangle into novel form.

Cat or dog? Both. The household cats and the little deaf dog both have a strong connection with the fey.
