The Lord Speaks

The Lord Speaks
Does the Lord speak to his people? Do you know his voice? There are instances in the bible where the Lord spoke to his people. The Lord did in fact speak to Samuel. He also spoke to Moses.

There seems to be a controversy around the importance of church. The Lord does speak to his people. Exodus 24:1-3 tells us as follows:
And he said unto Moses, Come up unto the LORD, thou, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship ye afar off.
2 And Moses alone shall come near the LORD: but they shall not come nigh; neither shall the people go up with him.
3 And Moses came and told the people all the words of the LORD, and all the judgments: and all the people answered with one voice, and said, All the words which the LORD hath said will we do.

Many are called, but few are chosen. As a believer of the Lord Jesus Christ, we receive his spirit. We become servants to the Lord. We are bound to him. This is not a bad thing. If you are not bound to him, then you are bound to something or someone else that is not necessary a good thing.

It is our responsibility as a believer to live a holy and acceptable life unto God. We don’t necessary hold the title of preacher, teacher, or evangelist to preach the Word of God to others. Allow your words to be truthful and honest. Speak a relevant Word because you will be held accountable for those words one day.

2 Timothy 4 King James Version (KJV)
4 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth and shall be turned unto fables.
5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

The old saying goes: The truth hurts. We may not always be received with agreement. We may not always say what others want to hear. Speak the Word in love and in truth. Your words may not always save. You may be planting a seed to be watered later during church service.

Be Blessed
